Begin your 5 days gorilla habituation ishasha tree climbing lions with transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park via Kampala -Masaka highway approximately 7 hours’ drive with en route stopover at the equator for photography and at Igongo Cultural Centre in Mbarara for lunch. Later proceed to Queen Elizabeth national park.

Overnight stay at Mweya safari lodge / Katara Lodge/ Engazi Lodge

On this day you will wake up early will head out of the lodge for a game drive where you will enjoy a delicious bush breakfast. The game drive is a chance to spot your favorite game in the wild like the leopards, lions, hyenas also expect to encounter herds of elephants, buffalos, Uganda Kobs, warthogs, bushbuck giant forest hogs, and waterbuck, among others. After you will return to the lodge for lunch and prepare for a boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel at 2:00 pm. During the cruise, you will be up close with the animals on the shores such as elephants, hippos, a number of beautiful birds as fly over the water and rest on the shores. Enjoy the breathtaking breeze on the water as you sip your favorite drink. Return to the lodge to refresh and have dinner.

After an early breakfast, check out of the lodge and transfer to the Ishasha sector situated in the southern part of Queen Elizabeth National Park which famous for tree-climbing lions.  There is a high chance of seeing the lions climbing fig trees in search of shelter from the hot sun, and also get a better view of their prey before they hunt. It is also a relaxation spot where the lions relax after a morning hunt of the antelopes.

Then proceed for lunch later drive to Bwindi National Park for an evening Batwa (Pygmies) community walk.

Overnight stay at Gorilla Forest Camp / Mahogany Springs.

On this day you will wake up early have breakfast and head out of the lodge with packed lunch and proceed to the park headquarters for briefing by the park ranger before starting the most exciting adventure activity Gorilla Habituation. It is an arduous exercise but rewards with a great encounter with these magnificent creatures. It starts at 8:00 am and lasts for half or full day. You will be given an opportunity to spend time with gorillas, see them as they leave their nests, search for food, copulate, how they take care of their young ones, how they go about their daily life till they retire for the day and return to their nests to rest.

This marks the last day of your exciting safaris. Breakfast at leisure depending on your flight time. You will checkout out of the lodge and drive back to the airport in Entebbe or Kigali.
