Program Summary

Day 1: Pick up from Entebbe International Airport and transfer Cassia Lodge overlooking Lake Victoria and Kampala City Drive time 1Hour, Activity Time: (1 Hour transfer from Entebbe to the Loge)
Day 2: Transfer from Kampala to Queen Elizabeth National park. Lunch on the way and a short game drive is ideal
Drive time 5-6 Hours
Day 3: Morning lion experiential game drive, Lunch and afternoon boat cruise on the kazinga Chanel later transfer to the lodge
Activity Time: (3 Hours Game Drive, 2 Hours Boat cruise)

Day 4: Transfer from queen Elizabeth park to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Beautiful scenery experience

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Entebbe To Lake Mburo

On this day you will be welcomed by a K-safaris representative, meet and greet thereafter transfer to Lake Mburo National Park to start off your 6 Days African Safari. You will have a stopover at the equator for photography and also buy some souvenirs of your choice. On arrival at the park, you will check in the lodge, have a delicious lunch and prepare to go for an afternoon game drive. The game drive will give you a chance to have a glance at the beautiful savannah park, see different wildlife species such as Kobs, buffaloes, zebras, giraffes, antelopes, water hogs, and impalas among others. The drive back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Lake Mburo National Park is one of Uganda’s savanna parks situated in the western part of the country. It is famous for numerous antelope species the unique one being elands. It is also home to the largest population of zebra in Uganda estimated at about 5,000. Lake Mburo and four other lakes are among the most significant features, which form part of a 50km-long wetland area.

Day 2: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National park.

After an early breakfast, you will check out of the lodge and transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, you will enjoy the en-route journey through the scenic landscapes with rolling hills covered with vegetation. You will have lunch and proceed to the park where you will arrive late in the afternoon. Check in the lodge relax, have dinner, and overnight stay.

Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is located in southwestern Uganda, Kigezi region the land of interlocking hills and valleys. It is endowed with a diversity of wildlife species and a famous home to over 340 individuals of mountain gorillas with four main tracked gorilla groups which makeup 12 gorilla families.

Day 3: Bwindi Forest gorilla tracking

On the day to see the great apes, you will have an early breakfast, transfer to the park headquarters for a briefing about the dos and don’ts during and after trekking the gorillas in the thick forest. You will be led into the forest by a ranger guide, trek as you search for mountain gorillas. This adventure takes between 2-8 hours depending on the location of the gorillas. On encountering the gorilla, you will be allowed to spend strictly one hour with the gorillas, take photos and head back to the briefing point where you will be given certificates. Thereafter head back to your lodge for relaxation or head out to a community for a community tour in the pygmies Batwa community. While there you will have a chance to learn about their cultures and traditions.  They perform interesting traditional dances and songs. They also sell handmade craft items which can be bought are souvenirs for example sandals, bracelets, bungles, African wear among others. You will then return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 4: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park

After an early breakfast, you will check out of the lodge and drive to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National park. The journey is characterized by Savannah vegetation via the Ishasha sector you can get a chance to see the tree-climbing lions. On your arrival at the park, you will check in the lodge, have lunch thereafter go for an evening game drive. During the drive, you will view quite a number of many animals such as elephants, kobs, antelopes, warthogs, waterbucks, etc. After, return to the lodge to enjoy your dinner and overnight.

Queen Elizabeth National park is one of Uganda’s famous national parks situated in southwestern Uganda lying in the western rift valley. The park is endowed with a variety of wildlife and beautiful sceneries. The Kazinga channel connecting both Lake Edward and Lake George is home to numerous wildlife species including crocodiles, hippos, birds, buffaloes, etc. Accommodation Options: Mweya safari Lodge (Luxury/Upmarket), Kyambura Game Lodge (Moderate/Mid-range), Bush Lodge (Budget)

Day 5: Morning Game Drive and Afternoon Boat Cruise

You will start your morning game drive so early, so this will require you to be up very early, with this you will be able to see very many animals along the Kasenyi track, you will also be able to view different animals such as elephants, antelopes, waterbucks, buffaloes, lions, kobs among others. After the game drive, head back to the lodge for your breakfast, relax and later have lunch as you prepare for the afternoon boat cruise. You will have a great time cruising along the Kazinga channel and getting a chance to view water birds such as the saddle-billed stork, pink-backed pelicans, the malachite kingfishers, and animals such as crocodiles, elephants, hippos, buffaloes, feeding along the channel. Later in the evening, head back to the Lodge, have dinner and spend the night. Accommodation options: Mweya safari Lodge (Luxury/Upmarket), Kyambura Game Lodge (Moderate/Mid-range), Bush Lodge (Budget).

Day 6: Transfer to Entebbe for departure

Have your breakfast and set off for Kampala, you will go through Mubende whereby you will have great and beautiful scenery along the way due to the beautiful vegetation. Have your lunch in Mubende and continue to Kampala whereby you will arrive late afternoon.
